Some time ago, the Oppo A53 was officially launched in several countries. Released at a very affordable price, this phone targets the lower middle segment by bringing several features that are still rarely found in this segment.
Some of the features that are the mainstay of the Oppo A53 include a 90Hz refresh rate screen, Snapdragon 460 chipset and a punch-hole design. Then what is the performance of this phone? After trying out the Oppo A53 for several weeks, here is the full review.
Oppo A53 Price comes in two color choices, namely Fancy Blue and Power Black. The unit I use is Fancy Blue which comes in gradations from blue to silvery.
When exposed to light, the back of this phone also shows beautiful rainbow lines. These colors are produced by the 3D Iridescent Wave design technology used by Oppo.
With a thickness of 8.4 mm and a width of 75.1 mm, the Oppo A53 can be held in one hand with ease. Moreover, the left and right sides are curved so that it is more comfortable to hold while browsing or using social media.
On the back of the phone there are three rear cameras and an LED flash that is positioned vertically on the top right side. Not far from the camera, there is a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The power button is on the right side of the phone, while the volume buttons and slots for SIM and microSD cards are located on the left side. At the bottom of the phone, you can find a USB type-C port that is flanked by a 3.5mm headphone jack and speaker.
Like other contemporary cellphones, the Oppo A53 carries a punch-hole design on the upper left side of the screen to place the front camera. This design makes the bezels on the left, right and top look very thin, but the bezels at the bottom still look quite thick.
Screen and Audio
The Oppo A53 display uses an LCD panel measuring 6.5 inches with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. This screen has a ratio of 20: 9 and is protected with Gorilla Glass 3.
The Oppo A53 also supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. This high refresh rate is proven to provide a smoother experience when exploring the virtual world, when using social media, even when playing games.
Another feature provided by AI Brightness technology, will automatically adjust the backlight after learning the user’s brightness preferences. This function will protect as well as make the eyes comfortable.
The screen of the Oppo A53 is fairly bright and the resulting color is quite vivid even though it does not carry a high resolution. Watching HD videos on YouTube can be enjoyed optimally.
This phone has also received Widevine L1 certification, so you can watch licensed content from Netflix at the highest resolution. But due to limited specifications, the highest playback resolution is stuck in HD.
The experience when watching movies and videos is also increasing thanks to the super dual speakers and support for Dirac 2.0 technology. This technology provides the best sound effects when playing games, listening to music and watching movies.
